Robert W. Birkenmeier, 65, of Poplar Bluff died Oct. 21, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Birkenmeier was a painter. Born Dec. 17, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Catherine (Kirchner) Birkenmeier.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon (nee Crocker) Birkenmeier, of Poplar Bluff; four children:
Kristie (the late Terry) Gore of De Soto, Jennifer (Christopher) Spruell of De Soto, Jason (Katie) Birkenmeier of Poplar Bluff and Heidi (Michael Johnston) Birkenmeier of Poplar Bluff;four siblings: Kathleen Parkhill of St. Louis, Nancy (Larry) Birkenmeier-Katazemberger of Arnold, Brian Birkenmeier of De Soto and Ronald Birkenmeier of Goose Creek; six grandchildren: Daniel, Alisha, Aaron, Angel, Breanne and Stella; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Birkenmeier.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. until a funeral service a 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Terry Crank. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
