Robert Lee Fadler, 76, of Leadwood died June 24, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Fadler was retired from the Festus Parks Department. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Born Aug. 20, 1944, in Pevely, he was the son of the late Virginia (Hildebrand) and Floyd Fadler.
He is survived by his wife: Judith (Bequette) Fadler; a son: Floyd Bequette of Lake Hanna; six siblings: Danny (Joy) Fadler of Colorado Springs, Colo., Paul “Dick” Fadler of Festus, Terry (Jan) Fadler of Wentzville, Bill Fadler of Festus, Jim (Beverly) Brock of Frankclay and Diane Williams of Park Hills; a brother-in-law: George Lay of Fredericktown; a sister-in-law: Bessie Fadler of Hematite; a grandson: Joseph (Becky) Clark; and a great-granddaughter: Katelynn JoBoe.
He was preceded in death by five sisters: Marie (Wayne) Hall, Gloria (Alfred) Forshee, Brenda (Ralph) Thompson, Carolyn (Warren) Bergmann and Toni Lay; two brothers: Jeffrey Fadler and Mike Fadler; and a brother-in-law: Dick Williams.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at the funeral home, officiated by Derry Bowling. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
