Robert L. “Bob” Anderson, 79, of De Soto died Feb. 15, 2021, at the Villas in De Soto. Mr. Anderson was a warehouseman for Famous-Barr until he retired. Born Oct. 5, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Louisa A. and Viola (Fibig) Anderson. He is survived by his wife: Diane (Harden) Anderson of De Soto, whom he married April 13, 1963; as well as two children: John (Patricia) Anderson of Lemay and Lisa (Kenneth Douglas) Anderson of De Soto; four grandchildren: Christine (Kevin) Frederikser, Justin Anderson, Ethan Jenkins and Molly Jenkins; and a great-grandson: William Frederikser.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Alvina Anderson; and a niece: Genevieve Chastain.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday (Feb. 22) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 23) at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Bruce Valle. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 63132. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
