Hodges, Robert

Robert Eugene Hodges Jr., 65, of Farmington died March 19, 2019, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Hodges was a 911 dispatcher for numerous police departments in Jefferson County before retiring from East Central Dispatch in Richmond Heights. He was also a member of Parkland Bible Chapel in Farmington. Born Aug. 19, 1953, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Catlett) and Robert E. Hodges Sr.

He is survived by his wife: Bonnie (Linzemann) Hodges; three daughters: Megan (William) Schenk of House Springs, Carla (Larry) Gore of De Soto and Shasta Hunt of Chicago, Ill.; a sister: Pat (Bob) Francis of Herculaneum; nine grandchildren: Codie Hurtgen, DeStyne Gore, Coleen Schenk, Zachary Schenk, Christian Kinghorne, Lillian Hunt, Kolbiey Hunt, Taylor Hunt and Quentin Hunt; a great-granddaughter: Sirriyah-Marie Hurtgen; a daughter-in-law: Jennifer Hunt of Branson; and numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Shane Hunt.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
