Robert E. Crites, 91, of House Springs died Feb. 21, 2022, in St. Louis. Mr. Crites was the last remaining charter member of First Baptist Church in House Springs. He was an avid outdoorsman and do-it-yourselfer, and treasured the little things in life. Born May 31, 1930, in St. Francois County, he was the son of the late William and Beulah (McGraw) Crites. He was preceded in death by his wife: Marie Crites.
He is survived by a sister: Mabel (the late Leroy) Montgomery of Farmington; four children: David (Kathy) Crites, Debbie Robinson, Diana (Gary) Land and Darlene (Bret) Triplett; 10 grandchildren: Clinton, Jennifer, Derek, Tiffany, Crystal, Matthew, Heather, Timothy, Brittany and Brandon; 18 great-grandchildren: Jarren, Leo, Gavin, Skyler, Bella, Kynan, Gabe, Braden, Tyler, Kaylee, Felicity, Madison, Raelynn, Nolan, Trinity, Korben, Aiden and Alivia; two great-great-grandchildren: Jaxson and Laytyn; and numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Junior and Paul; and a great-granddaughter: Kyndall.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Burial will follow in the Local Cedar Hill Cemetery, 8265 Local Hillsboro Road. Memorials may be made to Mid-America Transplant.
