Richard W. Vaughn, 83, of Arnold died June 17, 2022, at his home. Mr. Vaughn was a mathematics instructor at Jefferson College in Hillsboro for 34 years. During his tenure, he was chair of the mathematics department and division chair of the mathematics and science departments. He also was a member of McKnight Crossings Church of Christ. Born May 28, 1939, in Caldwell, he was the son of Elsie (Lincoln) and R.B. Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife: Betty (Arendell) Vaughn; two sons: David (Dottie) Vaughn and R. Christopher (Lynnae) Vaughn; a brother: Harold (Carolyn) Vaughn; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at McKnight Crossings Church of Christ, 2515 S. McKnight Road, in St. Louis County. Memorials may be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis or McKnight Crossings Church of Christ Technology Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County.
