Richard Arthur Koch, 85, of St. Louis County died May 3, 2018, in St. Louis. Mr. Koch was retired from Chandeysson Electric Co. and was a member of the Catholic faith. He was also an honorary Girl Scout Dad. Born Aug. 14, 1932, in Cadet, he was the son of the late Louise (Matz) and Francis Koch.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Eleanor Ann (Winkelmann) Koch; three children: Karol Koch of St. Louis County; Richard Koch of Richmond Heights and Kathleen (Roddy) Brockelmeyer of Kirkwood; a sister: Idalla Koch of Kirkwood; three grandchildren: Jakob Brocklemeyer of Kirkwood, Nathan Koch of Richmond Heights and Travis Brockmeyer of Kirkwood; his children’s “brother from another mother,” Chris Forbes; and his pet, Henry.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Otto Koch.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, at Assumption Parish, 4725 Mattis Rd., in St. Louis County. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Heifer International. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
