Rexford Kenton Hodges, 76, of Festus died Feb. 15, 2018, at his home. Mr. Hodges worked as a bricklayer and in lawn service. He was a Christian. Born Jan. 28, 1942, in Alexandria, he was the son of the late Elmer and Stella (Fenn) Hodges. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years: Mary Lucille (Fishback) Hodges.
He is survived by three children: Michael Kenton (Beth) Hodges of Oakville, Daniel Jay (Melinda) Hodges of Mesa, Ariz., and Penny Marquerite “Hodges” (Duane) Stockdell of Festus; six siblings: Imogene Corimier of Winter Haven, Fla., Gery (Marion) Hodges of Burlington, Iowa, Russ (Pat) Hodges of West Palm Beach, Fla., Sandra Shakelford of West Plains, Linda (John) Rudicil of Quincy, Ill., and Cinda (Steve) Dow of Friday Harbor, Wash.; 10 grandchildren: Mike (Jessica) Hodges Jr. of O'Fallon, Matt (Nikki) Hodges of Collinsville Ill., Mallorie Hodges of Oakville, Mark Hodges of Oakville, Kimberly (Logan) Heilman of Oakville, Joshua Hodges of Mesa, Ariz., Brett (Bailey) Hodges of Mesa, Ariz., Cameron (Camille) Hodges of Mesa, Ariz., Andy (Nikki) Stockdell of O’Fallon and Jenny (Kenny) Farley of Festus; three great-grandchildren: Noah Stockdell of O'Fallon, Tenley Stockdell of O'Fallon and Alex Hodges of Collinsville, Ill.
He also was preceded in death by one son: Timothy James Hodges; two brothers: Jamie Hodges and Norman Hodges; and two brothers-in-law: John Corimier and Ralph Shakelford.
No formal services will be held. A private family gathering will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
