Rebecca May DeBerry Swarts, 67, of House Springs died Jan. 14, 2021, at Mercy South in St. Louis. Mrs. Swarts was a retired receptionist at Lumbee Enterprises. Born Feb. 27, 1953, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mollie Laverne Brock Altman and Rex Hughes DeBerry.
She is survived by her husband: Raymond David Swarts Jr. of House Springs; three children: Theresa (Collin) Brown Krill of House Springs, Tracy (Tom) Swarts Poole of House Springs and Gregg (Jen) Swarts of Eureka; four siblings: Betty (David) DeBerry Mullins of Festus, Virginia (Ron) DeBerry Altman of Belleville, Ill., Sharon Rodebaugh of Farmington and Randy DeBerry of Belleville; two grandchildren: Gregg Swarts Jr. and Jaidyn Swarts of Eureka; a great-grandchild: Aubree Ray Carlstrom of House Springs; and numerous other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Pamela Ann DeBerry; three brothers: Thomas DeBerry, Bobby DeBerry and Timothy DeBerry; two nephews: David Swarts and Matthew Rodebaugh; and a granddaughter: Rebecca Irene Benthal.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mrs. Swarts chose to be cremated. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Brant Select Services.
