Ray E. Harris Jr., 76, of Herculaneum died Sept. 21, 2022, at his home. Mr. Harris was a retired plater for Aerometal in St. Louis. He was a member of the Plattin Rock Boat Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Born May 29, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late Wanda (Eiceman) and Ray E. Harris Sr.
He is survived by his wife: Shirley (Smith) Harris of Herculaneum; two children: Kevin Michael (Michele) Harris of Wood River, Ill., and Kelly Wayne (Kim) Harris of Festus; a sister: Denise (the late James) Hilty of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren: Clayton (Shelby), Brooke, Morgan and Grant; and his dog, Abby.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
