Randy Ray Govro, 65, of Festus died Aug. 10, 2019, at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi. Mr. Govro was a longtime over-the-road trucker, whose CB handle was “Sidekick.” Born Feb. 17, 1954, he was the son of Lorraine Joyce (Smith) and Verlon Ray “Pedo” Govro.
He is survived by his wife: Glenda Gianformaggio; six children: Randy (Nikki) Govro Jr., Tina (Colin) Whitley, Lisa (DJ) Lamure, Amanda Barker, Kevin Barker and David (Rikki) Barker; four siblings: Margaret (Robert) Jones, Lonnie (Ladonna) Govro, Dale Govro and Everett Govro; 26 grandchildren: Landon, Landen, Lyndsie, Desirae, Dustin, Morgan, Alicia, Brayden, Timothy, Savannah, Dillon, Dalton, Alexis, Carter, Dallas, Skylar, Sierra, Dawsen, Derrek, Devin, Kelsee, Alexa, Carson, Dayton, Owen and Callie; four great-grandchildren: Rayllon, MyKinlee, Raygon and Brinley; his parents-in-law: Lowell Curtis and Evelyn Faulkner; a brother-in-law: Danny (Kim) Faulkner; and numerous family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson: Colin Whitley; a nephew: Keith Govro; a brother-in-law: Curt Faulkner Jr.; a sister-in-law: Patti Govro; and his former wife: JoAnn Simms Govro Wahl.
A celebration of life was held Aug. 14 at DeClue Funeral Home in Potosi, officiated by Mike Jarvis. Arrangements were under the direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
