Randall “Randy” Lee Harper, 62, of Herculaneum died Dec. 11, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. Mr. Harper worked as a batch furnace utility operator at Ardaugh Glass Co. He attended Oak Bridge Community Church and he was a member of the Festus-Crystal City Elks and was on the post’s bowling team. He enjoyed hunting, mowing grass, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and spending time with family. He was born March 24, 1959, in Washington, the son of Ruth (Swaringan) Harper of West Plains and the late Harold Harper.
He is survived by his wife: Tammy (Dollar) Harper; five sons: Zachery (Miranda Walker) Harper of Imperial, Colby (Erin) Dollar of Hillsboro, Jeremiah Rulo of Herculaneum, Robert Rulo of Herculaneum and Randall (Natalie Reed) Rulo of Arnold; five daughters: Jennifer (Travis) Balke of O’Fallon, Brandi (Jimmy) Foreman of Houston, Texas, Riley Rulo of Herculaneum, Ryder Rulo of Herculaneum and Amanda Quinn of Florida; three brothers: Harold Harper of Fenton, Danny (Lisa) Harper of Festus and Michael Harper of Kansas City; six sisters: Peggy (Jon) Schick of West Plains, Barbara Smith of Corning, Ark., Marlyan (Timothy) Logan of Imperial, Nancy Guess of Medina, Ohio, Crystal Harper of West Plains and Courtney Harper of St. Louis; and 13 grandchildren: Aiden, Ella and Colton Dollar, Dillon French, Trace Balke, Abbi, Emily and Nate Murray, Anna Ford and Jordan, Ryan, Gracie and Kash Rulo; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister Rose Pinkard; and his fathers-in-law: Norville Dollar and Rich Trojahn.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Mahn Funeral Homes Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., Festus. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Crystal City. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Homes.
