Ralph Lee Schwab, 81, Festus

Ralph Lee Schwab, 81, of Festus died July 23, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Schwab was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a building contractor, as well as a nondenominational pastor since 1979 with five pastoral ordinations including at Victory Tabernacle of Apostolic Faith and the New Testament Holy Church of God. He also worked many years as a missionary throughout the U.S. Born Dec. 23, 1939, in Litchfield, Ill., he was the son of the late Paul Edward and Ruth Elizabeth (Copeland) Schwab.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Carole Ann Naomi (Thomas) Schwab.

He is survived by a son: Edward Roy Schwab of Crystal City; three grandchildren: Ashlea Ann Xavbria Felty, Stephanie Elizabeth Rose Schwab and Ethan Andrew Patrick Schwab, all of Crystal City; two sisters: Roseann Marie (Raymond) Eggers of Bloomsdale and Karen Lee (Floyd) Sheldon of Charlotte, Mich.; and a brother: Roger Allen Schwab of Alto, Mich.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Richard Allen Schwab, Marion Ross Schwab, Robert Carl Schwab and John Guard; and two sisters: Judith Ann (Mike) Lieb and Florence Louise (Robert) Thomlinson.

Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
