Phyllis Charline Artrip, 87, of Pevely died Dec. 22, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Artrip was a cook with the Dunklin R-5 School District and retired as head dietician for Scenic View Nursing Center in Herculaneum. Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Muncie, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Clarice E. (Hyatt) and Charles H. Keller. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack William Artrip.
She is survived by a son: Michael Artrip of Pevely; a daughter: Pauletta (Daniel) Montgomery of Silva; a daughter-in-law: Terrie Artrip of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Joseph DeWayne Artrip; two brothers: Ralph E. (the late Marge) Keller and Arthur R. (the late Ann) Keller; and a great-granddaughter: Emily Morgan Montgomery.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, officiated by the Rev. Randy Casey. Burial is in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
