Phillip T. Yagge, 78, of De Soto died Jan. 15, 2018, at St. Anthony’s MedicalCenter in south St. Louis County. Mr. Yagge worked in Auto parts distribution. He was a Jehovah’s Witness and a minister. His ministry took him to Ste. Genevieve, Alton, East St. Louis, Waterloo, Ill., and lastly to De Soto where he spent 30 plus years. He loved to fish and take trips to Alaska and Canada with friends, but his greatest joy was being a minister.
Born April 20, 1939, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Phillip P. and Arlene R. Yagge. He is survived by his wife of 11 years: Luella M. (Douglas) Yagge; stepchildren; step-grandchildren; a step-great-granddaughter; a brother: Gary (Linda) Yagge; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years: Betty A. (Chaney) Yagge.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at De Soto Kingdom Hall, 4423 Hwy. 110, with Mark Kite officiating.
