Pauline Carter, 98, of Herculaneum died Jan. 7, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Carter was a member if and secretary for the One Assembly in Herculaneum. She enjoyed crafting, ceramics, beadwork, crocheting and painting. Born Aug. 21, 1923, in Caruthersville, she was the daughter of the late Cecilia Ann (Wyatt) and Aurista Hepler.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard H. Carter.
She is survived by three sons: Leonard “Leslie” (Becky) Carter of Fenton, Bobby (Donna) Carter of High Ridge and Terry A. Carter of Herculaneum; a daughter: JoAnn (the late Roy) Medley of Herculaneum; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Wyatt and Verlon Carter.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely, followed immediately by services officiated by Pastor Nick Melton. Burial will be in Herculaneum Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
