Paula Jeanne Coffey, 70, of Bonne Terre died Nov. 8, 2014, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. Mrs. Coffey retired from Bel Tex. She was a volunteer with the Bowling Green, Ky., public library, one of the founders of the Estill County Homemakers Club and a member of the Kentucky Friends of Bluegrass. Born Sept. 17, 1944, in Florence, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Iva Mae (Reid) Carter.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years: Donald Lee Coffey Sr. of Bonne Terre; a daughter: Donna Eppler of Springfield; four stepchildren: Wanda “Bittie” (John) Peters of De Soto, Sharleen (Mike) Peters of Bonne Terre, Donald Lee Coffey Jr. of Bonne Terre and Kathy Wilson of Richmond, Ky.; a brother: Frank (Pat) Carter of Festus; a sister-in-law: Chris Carter of Imperial; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by two siblings: John Carter and Joyce Conners.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
