Paul Terry McDonnell, 67, of Cedar Hill died May 14, 2017, at St Anthony’s de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis County. Mr. McDonnell was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in House Springs. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 6435 and American Legion Post 783 in High Ridge and enjoyed woodworking and studying religion. He was born Aug. 2, 1949, in East St. Louis, Ill., the son of the late Charles and Bernice (Aaron) McDonnell.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years: Linda (Irjud) McDonnell of Cedar Hill; two children: Samuel (Caity Zielinski) McDonnell of St Louis and Lillian (Josh) McDonnell- Branch of High Ridge; three grandchildren: Wesley, William and Elena; three siblings: Mike (Maureen) McDonnell of Osage Beach, Rick (Diane) McDonnell of Murphysboro, Ill., and Vicky (Gary) Campbell of Dardenne Prairie; a sister in law: Judy McDonnell of Columbia, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son: Matthew Albert McDonnell; and a brother: Pat McDonnell.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4675 Notre Dame Lane, in House Springs. Burial with full military honors is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4675 Notre Dane Lane, House Springs, 63051. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
