Paul R. DeGonia, 61, of Festus died Aug. 24, 2017, at Sunset Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis County. Mr. DeGonia was a machinist. Born Dec. 29, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late John and Norma (Santschi) DeGonia and the biological son of Helen Law Keeton of Sparta, Ill., and Clyde Nash.
He is survived by two children: Kimberly De Gonia of High Ridge and Angela (Kenny) Parker of Byrnes Mill; six siblings: Rocky Keeton, Shereena Gonis, Vearl Keeton, Jack Keeton, Tammy Williams and Regina (Nash) Pinson; four grandchildren: Kyle DeGonia of High Ridge, Caitlyn Parker of Byrnes Mill, Alexander Parker of Byrnes Mill and Ryan De Gonia of High Ridge; one great-grandchild: Jayden DeGonia-Bruce of High Ridge; two special cousins: Janet “Susie” (Al) Nance and Terri (Don) Detmer; and dear friends Janie King and Merle Gillam.
He was preceded in death by two siblings: Patsy (Keeton) Tull and Darryl Nash.
Mr. DeGonia donated his body to science. Burial was in Byrnes Mill.
