Patsy L. Woods, 78, of De Soto died June 2, 2017, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Crystal City. Mrs. Woods was a cook and a member of the First Baptist Church of De Soto. Born Jan. 6, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Alvie Moore and Marie Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jan D. Woods.
She is survived by a son: Dariel (Denise) Woods; two daughters: Janet (Glen) Gaugh and Lisa; three brothers: Daniel Maloney, Mike (Linda) Maloney and Leonard Moore; four sisters: Ruth (Welton) Woods, Judy Pruitt, Dorothy Moore and Mary; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Pamela Patterson; and a brother-in-law: Billy Pruitt.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at the funeral home, officiated by Jeremy Muniz. Burial will be in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
