Patsy J. (Etter) Bernauer, 80, of Festus died May 10, 2020. Mrs. Etter loved fishing. Born June 23, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Clemons and Mildred (Cook) Etter.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Carl V. Bernauer.
She is survived by three daughters: Deborah (Roger) Meyer, Patty (Rick) Helferstay and Carla (Rick) Baldridge; a son-in-law: Rick Schwartzmeyer; six grandchildren; Michael (Wendi) Meyer, Nicholas (Kristin) Meyer, Christopher Waggoner, Joshua (Becky) Baldridge, Adam (Erica) Baldridge and Cassidy (Zak) Dodge; 11 great-grandchildren: Lani Meyer, Courtney Meyer, Hailey Meyer, Natalie Meyer, Gavin Baldridge, Devany Hayes, Joseph Baldridge, Audrey Baldridge, Connor Baldridge, Annabelle Baldridge and Jameson Meyer; a sister: Terry (Debbie) Etter; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Anna Schwartzmeyer; a grandson: Matthew Meyer; and a brother: Larry Etter.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the funeral services at 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A private burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
