Olive “Babe” Carron, 83, of Pevely died Aug. 21, 2022, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Home in Festus. Mrs. Carron was an avid bowler. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandsons. Born Feb. 18, 1939, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Olive Helen (Baker) and Otto Fleischer.
She is survived by her husband: Boyd Doug Carron of Pevely; two children: Boyd Doug Carron Jr. of De Soto and Stephanie (Ronald) Smith of Pevely; three grandchildren: Lane (Eliu) Fritzsche, Taylor Carron and Leah (Matt) Smith; and two great-grandchildren: Jefferey Smith and Sawyer Smith. She was preceded in death by a sister: Helen “Marlene” (the late Adolph “Sonny”) Govreau.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until a memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. Burial will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Herculaneum. Memorials may be made to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
