Wilma Evelyn Redecker, 88, of Park Hills died Aug. 6, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Redecker loved rural life, raising plants, canning her produce and cooking. A devout Christian, she was always active with church activities and loved socializing and playing games with family and friends. She was born Aug. 16, 1934, in Hahn, the daughter of the late Clara M. (Fullbright) and Joseph Chester Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Daniel Carl Redecker.
She is survived by a daughter: Evelyn (Alvis) Loughary of Desloge; two sons: Walter J. (the late Theresa) Redecker of Park Hills and Daniel E. (Cindy) Redecker of Altenburg; six grandsons: Jason (Kala) Loughary, Jon (Jessica) Loughary, Adam (Danielle) Redecker, Alex (Sara) Redecker, Aaron (Amy) Redecker and Nathan Redecker; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Vergie Mae (the late Elzie “Jake”) Cobb; two brothers: Jack Davenport and Glendel Campbell; and a grandson: Jeffery Loughary.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Stan Martin of Freedom Tabernacle in Park Hills. Burial is in the Zion Methodist Cemetery in Mapaville. Memorials may be made to the School of The Ozarks in Hollister. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
