Steven Duane French, 71, of Bonne Terre, formerly of Festus, died June 22, 2023, in Crystal City. Mr. French owned and operated S.D. French Construction Co. Born Sept. 11, 1951, in Festus, he was the son of the late Esther Anna Margaret (Johnston) and George Edward French.
He is survived by a daughter: Tiffany (Ken) Driska of Crystal City; a son: Stephen (Lorrin) French of Festus; three brothers: Dale (Carol) French of Festus, Barry French of Festus and Bob (Gayle) French of Crystal City; a sister: Veronica Shoults of Festus; and four grandchildren: Braden and Blake Cox and Kyle and Alex French.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Donna Dollar; and a brother-in-law: David Shoults.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes, Festus.
