Robert P. ‘Bob’ Beardslee, 68, Barnhart

Robert P. “Bob” Beardslee, 68, of Barnhart died March 30, 2023, in Barnhart. Mr. Beardslee was a chemical technician for Mallinckrodt. He loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, Bluegrass music, riding his Harley, wildlife and his home’s beautiful setting. Born Feb. 13, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late John R. and Rose W. (Shaw) Beardslee.

He is survived by four children: Jordan Beardslee of Hillsboro, Emily Beardslee of St. Louis, Matthew Beardslee of Hillsboro and Jacob (Elaine) Beardslee of Imperial; four siblings: Ruth Beardslee of Hillsboro, Elizabeth “Betty” McKim of Dittmer, Patricia (John) Fischer of Manchester and John (Darlene) Beardslee of Altenberg; and two grandchildren: Finn and Rory Beardslee.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Mike McKim.

A memorial gathering will be from noon until a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center or Missouri Department of Conservation Hunter Education. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
