Kenneth Berend Sr., 74, of Arnold died Aug. 5, 2023, at his home. Mr. Berend was a meat cutter for Schnucks for more than 40 years and was a member of the Meat Cutters Union Local 88. He was born Aug. 24, 1948, in St. Louis, the son of the late Richard and Ethel (Nash) Berend.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Rose (Lay) Berend.
He is survived by three children: Kenneth (Tiffinie) Berend II, Sona and Tammy Berend; five grandchildren: Christopher, Kelcy, Dylan, Joseph and Tyler; four great-grandchildren: Devonte, Kameron, Destiny and Auriella; and a sister: Pat (Harold) Jones.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Rosella Haloftis.
Private services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home, south. St. Louis County.
