Joe B. Thompson, 86, of Arnold died Sept. 11, 2023, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Thompson worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T. Born Dec. 21, 1936, in Belleview, he was the son of the late Florence (Bond) and Harry Thompson.
He is survived by his spouse: Rita (Ronald) Thompson; three children: Renee (Daniel) O’Leary of Alabama, Michele (Terry) Standfast of Fenton and Lynelle Thompson of Illinois; three grandchildren: Nicole, Melea and Megan (Adam); two great-grandchildren: Ely and Daniel; two siblings: Hughie Thompson and Eileen Pollack; as well as many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road. A graveside service will take place 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery in Caledonia. Memorials may be made to Tyro Lodge 12, P.O.
