James Harold Blackburn, 45, of House Springs died March 30, 2023, in House Springs. Mr. Blackburn was an assembly line worker for General Motors in Kansas City and a member of the UAW. He was a Mason and a Shriner and loved painting, RC helicopters, building with Lego, his 2019 Chevy Colorado, mechanic work, gymnastics and his cat, Max. Born Nov. 27, 1977, in St. Louis, he was the son of Patsy Ellen (Johnson) Blackburn of House Springs and the late James W. Blackburn, who died March 24.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a niece: Belinda (John) Chisholm of De Soto; and a nephew, Blake Blackburn of DeSoto.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held later. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s St. Louis, 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis 63110. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
