William "Bill" Brinkley Jr., 73, of Barnhart died Feb. 15, 2025, at his home. Mr. Brinkley was an auto worker for Chrysler for 38 years before he retired. He was a member of the UAW Bass Fishing Club. He loved hunting and fishing and, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. Born June 5, 1951, in Iron County, he was the son of the late William Brinkley Sr. and Glenda L. (Davison) Brinkley.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Rita A. Brinkley of Barnhart; three daughters: Jennifer (Greg) Janes of Toledo, Ohio, Jacquelyn Hays of Barnhart and Jovan (Marshal) Castile of Hillsboro; a brother: Robert (Marguerite) Brinkley of Hillsboro; two sisters: Brenda (Jack) Reeves of Hillsboro and Beverly Brinkley of Arnold; four grandsons: Joshua Janes, James Hays Jr., Aaron Janes and Ryder Janes; three granddaughters: Drew Whitten, Kendra Hays and Kylie Hays; three great-grandsons: Landon Janes, Lucas Janes and Niklaus Carter; a great-granddaughter: Rylee Janes; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Hazel Castile.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until services at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Pat Jones. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
