Willa Lee Long, 81, of De Soto died April 1, 2024, at Baisch Nursing Home in De Soto. Ms. Long was a retired operator for the Missouri Department of Transportation. Born Nov. 28, 1942, in Vineland, she was the daughter of Veneta M. (Hubbard) and Walter W. Wilson.
She is survived by two children: David W. (Lori) Long of Homer, Alaska, and Lee Ann (Scott) Kuck of Bowling Green; six grandchildren: Sarah, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Timothy, Samuel and Landon; five great-grandchildren; two siblings: Beverly (Ralph) Sloan of De Soto and Claudia Oppenheimer of De Soto; and many other family members and friends.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
