Wendell Lee Penrod, 90, of Arnold died March 16, 2026, in St. Louis County. Mr. Penrod worked as a brewer at Anheuser-Busch. Born Jan. 16, 1936, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Bessie Poore and Harry Penrod.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years: Eileen D. Penrod of St. Louis County; three children: Linda (Jeff) Maenner, Nancy Bridick and Kelly (Steve) Slatten; four grandchildren: Kevin (Cindy) Bridick, Brian (Amy) Maenner, Jamie Maenner and Tyler Slatten; 10 great-grandchildren: Kierstyn, Madison and Cole Bridick of Arnold, Maggie and Deacon Maenner, Matt Purvis, Layla Payne and Gabe, Caitlyn and Cooper Maenner, all of Centralia; a brother: Don Penrod of Arnold; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two children: Kenneth M. Penrod and Wendell L. Penrod Jr.
Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Arnold. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
