Berggren, Wanda

Wanda F. Berggren, 85, of Imperial died Sept. 15, 2025, at her home. Ms. Berggren was a Christian and attended a Methodist Church in her youth. She received her LPN in nursing from Jefferson College. She owned a convenience store in Villa Ridge and retired as a night front desk manager in a hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Born Oct. 23, 1939, in Belgreen, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Tennie (Gray) and John O. LeMay Sr.

She is survived by three children: Michael (Michelle) Perry of Imperial, Cheryl (Raynell) Perry of Dover, Ark., and James (Cassandra) Perry of St. Clair; three grandchildren: Shane (Stacie) Perry of St. Charles, Ryan (Whitley) Perry of Imperial and Matthew (Brandy) Perry of House Springs; six great-grandchildren: Henry and Jolene Perry of Imperial and Lillian, Llewellyn, Lleyton and Lacie Perry of St. Charles; her former husband: Robert (Donna) Perry of St. Clair; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her former husband of 12 years: Ralph Berggren; nine siblings: Verda Hester, Floy Jackson, Opal Dempsey, Lennis Morris, Ellawee Sparks, Juanita Dempsey, John O. LeMay Jr., Franklin LeMay and Talmadge LeMay; and a granddaughter-in-law: Chelsea Perry.

A private celebration of life will take place on Friday, Oct. 3. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of St. Louis Cremation.
