Vera I. (Watkins) White, 97, of Hillsboro died June 14, 2026. Mrs. White, formerly Mrs. Ritz, was a member of Peace Tabernacle in Hillsboro. She loved watching TV, drawing and reading her Bible. She was born on May 17, 1929.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Carl Ritz and Gordon White.
She is survived by two daughters: Kay Cole and Vicki Bonkowski; two sons: Michael and Rick (Martha) Ritz; a grandson: Gary (Bobbie) Bonkowski; a granddaughter: Tara Kogel; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Daniel Ritz; and her seven sisters.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus. A private burial will take place in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
