Thomas Roy Bequette Sr., 64, of Festus died on Nov. 23, 2025, in Festus. Mr. Bequette spent 35 years at G’Sell Brothers Concrete in Barnhart, where he worked as a foreman. He enjoyed working on his Mustang and other cars, racing, being outdoors, hunting and watching St. Louis Blues hockey as well as spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty and pride in his craft. Born Feb. 7, 1961, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Theresa Rose and Lenis Joseph Bequette.
He is survived by his wife: Suzanne (Moser) Bequette of Festus; a son: Thomas Roy (Lisa) Bequette Jr. of Hillsboro; a daughter: Sarah (Richard) Crossland of Festus; four brothers: Mike (Carol) Bequette of Hillsboro, Earl (Rhonda) Bequette of Potosi, Steve (Kathy) Bequette of Cadet and Terry Bequette of Cadet; 10 grandchildren: Thomas (Jamie) Bequette III of Barnhart, Abigail Bequette, Aiden Bequette and Parker Bequette, all of Hillsboro, Kiley Latham and Jordan Latham of Festus, Sophie Crossland and Zachary Crossland of Festus and Charles Gillespie and Colten Coleman of Hillsboro; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Leon Latham; a brother: Glennon Bequette; and two sisters: Margaret Courtway and Debbie Bequette.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Today, Dec. 1, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Ryan Sutton. Burial will be in Hematite Christian Church Cemetery in Festus. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in Festus.
