Thomas Laverne Farrar Jr., 59, of Cedar Hill died Oct. 9, 2024. Mr. Farrar retired from Laborers Local 110 and was a High Ridge Elks Lodge member. Born Feb. 13, 1965, in Sullivan, he was the son of the late Carol (Nickelson) and Thomas Farrar Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Cynthia (Bowlin) Farrar; five children: James (Rachael) Farrar, Jessica (Andrew) Stephens, Kayla (Daniel) Lawing, Amanda Farrar (Michael Newport) and Emily (Jeffrey) Ruth; nine grandchildren: Hazel Farrar, Hadley Farrar, Kenley Stephens, Hank Stephens, Rylee Lawing, Wayland Lawing, Owen Newport, Taylor Ruth and Jeffrey (JJ) Ruth; and a sibling: Tina O'Brien.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Kim Farrar; and two granddaughters: Ada and Lillian Farrar.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
