Thomas J. Brock, 58, of De Soto died Feb. 10, 2026, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Brock was a Homestead Senior High School graduate and, having obtained a certificate from Jefferson College, he worked as a traveling electrician and recently for the Archdiocese of St. Louis in its I.T. department. He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 350 and had volunteered with the Boy Scouts. Born March 2, 1967, in Allen County, Ind., he was the son of Esther L. (Eash) Brock Boyd of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and the late Violus C. Brock.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Sheryl L. “Sherry” (Sutton) Brock of De Soto; four children: Hunter Brock of Port Huron, Mich., Craig Politte of Festus, Joshua (Rachel) Politte of Pevely and Dustin (Tiffany) Politte-Bender of Crystal City; a grandson: Clark Politte; and five siblings: Daniel (Judy) Brock of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Ruth Courtney of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Evette Violette of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Nate (Shanda) Courtney of Petroleum, Ind., and Caleb Courtney of Petroleum, Ind.
He was preceded in death by many family members, including Dan and Suzette Courtney.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
