Thomas Alan “Tom” St. John, 76, of Park Hills died July 22, 2025. Mr. St. John was a 1967 Charlotte High School graduate. For the last five years, he delivered Meals on Wheels in Farmington with his wife. He was a dedicated Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren at their events and activities, working on home improvement projects, woodworking, being outdoors, biking, traveling the U.S. with his wife in their RV and spending time with family. Born Jan. 21, 1949, in Allegan, Mich., he was the son of the late Edwin and Cecelia (Bruner) St. John.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Marlene (Kapenga) St. John, whom he married on April 3, 1970, at Charlotte Christian Reformed Church; two sons: Timothy (Diane) St. John and Michael (Deb) St. John; two grandchildren: Ryan (Rhianna) St. John and Allison (Logan Aubuchon) St. John; two sisters: Judy (Dick) Saurer of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Deb (Ken) Mohre of Rochester, Mich.; and many other family members.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Dick (Joy) St. John; two brothers-in-law: Richard Logan and Larry (Sue) Kapenga; and two nephews: Douglas Dipple and Chuck Christensen.
Mr. St. John chose to be cremated. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Parkland Health Services, Meals on Wheels in Farmington or the charity of the donor’s choosing. Arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory in Farmington.
