Terry Moyer, 79, of Dittmer died Feb. 25, 2026, in Fenton. Mr. Moyer was a Vietnam veteran known for his quiet strength and unwavering spirit. He loved camping under the stars, traveling to new places, fishing with friends and family and spending early mornings hunting. Whether he was riding his ATV through the woods or out on the water boating, he felt most at home in nature. He could often be found feeding the deer he affectionately called “his girls.” Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love, sense of adventure and devotion to family. Born Aug. 30, 1946, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Marion and Thelma (Clemmons) Moyer.
He is survived by his wife: Valerie Moyer; four children: Terry (Lisa) Moyer, Christina (Eric) Page, Jarrod (Crystal) Moyer and Tracy (Tim) Riggs; eight grandchildren: Otis, Rebecca, Nick, Nash, Christopher, Elizabeth, Grace and Samuel; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother: Jerry Moyer; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Virginia Moyer-Heidenreich, Norma Barton, Eugene Moyer, Gerald Moyer, James Moyer, Virgil Moyer, Edward Moyer and Charles Moyer; a daughter: Michaelene Sexton; and two grandchildren: Deanna Moyer and Nathan Page.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Saturday, Feb. 28, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Interment with military honors will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
