Terry E. Roberts, 73, of Festus died March 1, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Roberts was retired and known as a man of many skills. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1974. He was Methodist and a member of the Elks. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being on stage with the Bon Fire Band, rocking it out and playing harmonica. Most of all, he loved spending time and sharing laughs with his friends and family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. Born July 12, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Betty (Axley) Harris and Edwin Earl Roberts.
He is survived by his wife: Debbie (Kinder) Roberts of Festus; a son: Brock (Tracey) Roberts of St. Clair; a daughter: Amanda (Kevin) Gotsch of Washington; five grandchildren: Braydon Roberts of Des Moines, Iowa, Rachel Suttmueller of Washinton, Landen Roberts of St. Clair, Chase Suttemueller of Washington, and Kamdin Roberts of St. Clair; two siblings: Tim (Lisa) Lewis of Hillsboro and Melisa Leverich of O’Fallon; two sisters-in-law: Carla Roberts of Festus and Brenda Marcum of St. Louis County; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sibling: Arty Roberts.
A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 17, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. A celebration is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the Festus-Crystal City Elks, 4 Elks Acres, in Crystal City.
