Sylvia E. Kaufman, 86, of Meramec Heights died Aug. 19, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Kaufman was known as a smart businesswoman. Born Oct. 28, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude and Charles Stroh.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years: Paul Kaufman.
She is survived by a daughter: Laura Kaufman; two sons: Edward and Charles “Chuck” Kaufman; a daughter-in-law: Christina (Watson); five grandchildren: Heather (Phil), April (James), Brandy, Paula and Gabrielle; seven great-grandchildren; and a sibling: Christine Marrone.
She also was preceded in death by a child: Paula; and two brothers: Charles and Bruce Stroh.
A celebration of life will be private.
