Susan Gene Zoll, 82, of Festus died Nov. 26, 2023, in St. Louis. Mrs. Zoll worked as an elementary art teacher at Athena Elementary. She earned her master’s degree at Southeast Missouri State and then became a high school counselor before she retired. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, an active choir member and Sunday school teacher. Susan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, painting, reading, shopping and praying. Born Jan. 17, 1941, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Flontina Laura (Black) and Lenard Earl Hogan.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Glennon Jan Zoll.
She is survived by a son: Steve (Tracy) Zoll of Fenton; a daughter: Lori (Andy) Stuckey of Tucson, Ariz.; three granddaughters: Hannah Zoll of Springfield, Jessica Zoll of Columbia and Marissa (John Paul) Martincic of Warren, Pa.; a grandson: Ian Stuckey of Phoenix, Ariz.; a great-grandson: John Isaac Martincic of Warren, Pa.; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a brother: Tom Hogan.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until funeral services at noon Saturday, Dec. 16, at Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Dr. Matthew Kearns. Entombment will follow at the Peaceful Ridge Mausoleum in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 12400 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 63141.
