Steven C. Sloan, 76, of De Soto died July 9, 2025. Mr. Sloan was the owner of Sloan Auto Body Shop in De Soto. Born Sept. 19, 1948, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mildred (Oker) Sloan.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn (Thebeau) Sloan of De Soto, whom he married on Nov. 25, 1972; two children: Chad (Karen Mooney) Sloan of Bonne Terre and Jamie (Dwayne) Smith of De Soto; three grandchildren: Zachary Sloan, Logan (Lyssa) Yancey and Nathaniel Sloan; a great-grandchild: Link Yancey; and two siblings: David (Rachell) Sloan of South County and Mark Sloan of De Soto; and many other family members and friends.
A private graveside service will be held in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to De Soto Food Pantry, P.O. Box 552, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
