Stephan M. “Steve” Cape, 69, of Arnold died July 11, 2026, at his home. Mr. Cape served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer from 1976 to 1979. He worked in a variety of trades before retiring from the meat department at Schnucks. He was a member of the Men’s Club at Immaculate Conception Church in Arnold and made many friendships there. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories, making others smile, going to the beach, playing golf with his friends and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kindness and humor. He was born Feb. 6, 1957.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Theresa Cape; two sons: Chadd Cape and Shaun (Cara) Cape; four grandsons: Kolten, Jamieson, Dominic and Anthony; and many other family members and friends.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Holy Family Parish, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold. A reception will follow. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
