Stanley Gil Murray, 64, of House Springs died Sept. 18, 2026, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Murray was known for his quick wit and for cracking jokes. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved playing pool and was known as “the one-armed bandit.” He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and served on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He loved building things with metal and wood and working on his Ford Ranchero. He will be remembered for his friendly nature and for helping those in need. Born Oct. 20, 1961, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late Stanley H. Murray and Anna Beryl (Bradshaw) Murray.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years: Crystal Murray; two sons: Danny Robertson and Stanley Murray; two brothers: David (Kathy) Murray and Scott (Kim) Murray; a sister: Diann (Tammy Spencer) Murray; his mother-in-law: Betty “Mother Oermann” Oermann; six granddaughters: Megan (Tyler), Elaina, Chloe, Hayden, Eva and Stormy; a grandson: Hudson; three great-grandsons: Emmit, Ezekiel and Elijah; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Ronald Oermann.
