Sister Joan Stoverink, ASC, of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, 73, of Belleville, Ill., died March 12, 2026, at Benedictine Living Community at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville. Sister Joan had been professed for 43 years. She and her family attended Good Shepherd Parish in Hillsboro. Born May 22, 1952, she was the second of five children of the late Glennon and Dorothy (Werkmeister) Stoverink.
She is survived by three brothers: Jerry (Diane Moser) Stoverink of Paducah, Ky., Tom (Sally Hefner) Stoverink of Herculaneum and Larry (Cindy Bates) Stoverink of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister: Mary (David) Boushie of Hillsboro; her nieces and nephews; and the ASC community.
