Sheila L. Chilton, 76, of De Soto died June 6, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Chilton worked at Cherished Memories Florist and Hallmark Gold Crown Store. She also was a homemaker. Born Aug. 25, 1948, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Howard and Iona (Staffelbach) Huskey.
She is survived by her husband: Charles “Sonny” Chilton of De Soto; a daughter: Connie (Luther) Potts of De Soto; a son: Raymond (Patty) Chilton of De Soto; four sisters: Shirley (Paul) Freeman of Hillsboro, Sandra Riley of Troy, Linda Bozuda of De Soto and Carla Davis of Richwoods; a sister-in-law: Sherry Huskey of Hillsboro; a brother-in-law: Claus Moultrie of Terre Du Lac; six grandchildren: Fallon, Daniel, Megan, Brittany, Justin and Mitchell; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Carol Moultrie; two brothers: Howard Huskey and Steven Huskey; a sister-in-law: Sandra Huskey; and a brother-in-law: Richard Riley.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a service at noon Wednesday, June 11, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
