Sharon Rae Horn, 74, of Festus died Aug. 15, 2024, at Scenic Nursing Home in Herculaneum. Born May 22, 1950, in Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Horn was the daughter of the late Dolores Juanita (Jay) and Jesse James Merseal.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Bert Adolph Horn.
She is survived by a daughter: Andrea Jay Horn of Festus; a twin sister: Sandra Kay Merseal of De Soto; cousins: Jacqui (Joe) Vierling, Jan Bond (Jim Vezeau), Dolly Meyer and sons and several other cousins on her father’s side; a good friend: Rebecca Miller of Festus; and her best friend since kindergarten: Norma SoRelle.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until a funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
