Sandra M. Connolly, 63, of Ellisville died Oct. 24, 2023. Mrs. Connolly was a Roosevelt High School graduate and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. She relocated to New York City and worked in the executive offices of several major international cosmetic companies, including Polo Ralph Lauren and Christian Dior. While working at Christian Dior, she was awarded U.S. Employee of the Year. In 1999, she relocated with her family to Tampa, Fla. While residing in Tampa, she participated in numerous organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America, the YMCA, the neighborhood civic association and many school and church groups. Born April 13, 1960, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Delores Stitz and the late Roger Staten Sr.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 33 years: Kevin Connolly; a daughter: Laura (Nathan) Huskey; five grandsons; a sister: Jamie (David) Powell; a brother: Roger Staten Jr.; six nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law: Marie and Kathleen Connolly; as well as many other family members and friends.
A memorial dinner was held Oct. 30. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of the family.
