Sullins, Ruth

Ruth Ann (Schenk) Sullins, 89, of Fenton died March 5, 2026. Mrs. Sullins enjoyed watching movies, especially mysteries, playing cards, watching wrestling with her grandson, cooking, especially the spaghetti sauce she was known for, gardening, going out to dinner, fishing trips at Table Rock Lake, traveling to New York with her daughter, and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring nature and kind heart. Born Jan. 1, 1937, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Rose (Dimariano) and Edward Schenk Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years: James A. Sullins Sr. 

She is survived by three children: James A. Sullins Jr. of Fenton, Brenda Sullins of Fenton, and Michael (Susana) Sullins of Fenton; a siblings: Jeanette Barbey of Fenton; four grandchildren: Barry (Amy) Sullins of Cedar Hill, Franklin Hadley of Fenton, Matthew (Kendall) Knierim of Imperial and Heather (Zac) Link of Arnold; five great-grandchildren: Bailey (Scott), Macey, Owen, Bren and Roman; two great-great-grandchildren: Landon and Lyla; and numerous other family members and friends. 

A celebration of life will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Arnold Eagles Lodge 3678, 1725 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org or the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org. Arrangements are under the direction of Fieser Funeral Home in Fenton.
