Ruth Ann Rudisaile, 81, of Festus died Feb. 1, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Rudisaile was a retired pharmacy tech at the Shop ‘n Save in Crystal City. She was known as the heart of the family, the steady presence who showed up for big milestones, hardships and the ordinary days in between. She loved playing bingo and being out at the Elks lodge. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born July 30, 1944, in Crystal City, she was the daughter of the late Marie Lorena (Basler) and David Jacob Propst.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Burl Jacob Rudisaile.
She is survived by a son: Timothy (Tina) Rudisaile of Festus; three brothers: Jerald D. (the late Marcie) Propst of Crystal City, Robert J. (Rose) Propst of Festus and Ronald L. (Mona) Propst of De Soto; three grandchildren: Ashley (Jake) Lunsford, Casey (Tyler) Cottrell and Abbey Rudisaile; and three great-grandchildren: Audrey Lunsford, Mason Lunsford and Becklee Cottrell.
She also was preceded in death by a son: David J. (Chery Hardesty survives of Cherryville) Rudisaile; a sister: Margie (Vernon survives of De Soto) Blechle; and a grandson: Jacob Scott Rudisaile.
A celebration of life is scheduled from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Elks Lodge 1721, 4 Elks Club, in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
